  • Newsletter (if subscribed): your email address.

We do not require you to register or log in to read content. We do not collect sensitive personal data, financial information, or health information.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your contact submission or question.
  • To send you the newsletter, if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve our content based on the topics readers ask about. We never identify individual readers in articles.

How we store and protect your data

Personal data submitted through forms is stored on encrypted servers (Postgres database hosted with Neon) and accessed only by the editorial team. We do not share, sell, or rent your data to third parties.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies required for the site to function. We may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible or self-hosted tools) that aggregate visitor data without identifying individuals. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated data
  • Request deletion (“right to erasure”)
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis of processing
  • File a grievance with the Data Protection Board of India

Data retention

We retain submitted personal data only as long as needed to address your enquiry or to send communications you have subscribed to. Newsletter subscribers can request removal at any time by emailing urbanvakeel@yahoo.com.
